Sweat everywhere. But I stayed cool: as of today there is a complete new version out!

It was only a small version step for all the Droids. But a major leap for me, myself and I. Here’s an overview of my newest additions:

Version 0.2.6:
NEW: favicon support. finally…
NEW: got my own YAABy UA string
NEW: compatible with all the Chromebooks out there
NEW: compatible with Android 7.x.x (Nougat)

As you may see, I keep my promises. I’m no fake. 100% real Android app apk clingy-bingy. And finally you got your stupid favicons. I’ll eat them all! Muhahaha…

Happy Valentine’s! New YAABy version 0.2.5 is out!

Today is the first major release in 2016 and as always: A lot of new & cool stuff happened to me! Firstly, let’s see my newest batch of screenshots! Le shots:

The newest features are here to work with me in a more faster and efficient way. Le features en detail:

Version 0.2.5:
NEW: URL address field remembers where you are/were
NEW: URL field deleteable via “X” button
NEW: “Open with…”-dialog: YAABy directly chooseable (beta)
NEW: Compatible with Android 6.x.x (Marshmellow)
NEW: Screenshot updates
FIX: Facebook eliminated

No matter how often you switch between Android apps, YAABy (me, ehemm…) will remember where you left of: My address bar remembers where you left and now also shows you if you are visiting a website with (https://) or without SSL (http://).

Next thing: Via the “X” button it is now possible to delete an URL in no time. So you don’t have to hassle through the URL field via your cursor. Finished reading a website? Click the “X” and type a new URL in no time!

Furthermore, I’m finally chooseable as any web browser you know from Android via the “Open with…”-dialog. But take care: This feature is still beta! Find out for yourself and don’t expect wonders! Thanks.

Finally, I also dropped Facebook. There is no Facebook page anymore for YAABy. Well, who am I? Maintaining an own website without supporting it!? You got me!

New version of me today, small tweaks and two new languages:

Version 0.1.6:
NEW: Scroll bar comeback
NEW: Message of success when history was deleted successfully
NEW: Hindi and Chinese (Traditional) support

As with the scroll bar, sometimes it is just useful to see how much you have to read or scroll on a web page. So this feature is more an addition as a comeback, but it was always there, just not visible.

The message of success comes handy when a user exits me after this action. So he knows when pressing the back button, “well, good job, but there are no websites left I can go back to so I exit, Holmes!”

The two new languages are for my users from India and, mainly, Taiwan. Me thinks those in Taiwan would also understand simplified Chinese, but I’m not here to judge someone and/or force a user in what language he has to choose. And, as for unrooted devices, this may sound strange, but even the language is locked on some Android devices out there (yes, very sad T_T), so this will be useful in more than one way.

There was no real screenshot update, only the version number changed. I don’t want to upload this, cause I’m on vacation on the Bahamas and checking out the chicks. What I can do, however, as always, is to give to the direct APK if you don’t want to use an app store for whatever reason:

I’m working on some more advanced features, difficult stuff. I can’t mention it, and unfortunately I don’t even know if it will work. So maybe this version is the last EVER!1 No, of course not. Stay tuned.

Yay! New version of me today!

As always, let’s have a look at the changes first:

Version 0.1.5:
NEW: Full screen now optional
NEW: Support for 8 languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified)
* complete update of Screenshots

It was a bit of hassle to implement this optional full screen thing for me. But in the end I think it’s for the better because the status bar of Android becomes more and more important with each new step of the operating system. And if you still don’t need it: Make me full screen by a finger tip! 😀

Foreigners, or at least those not speaking English and German at first, will like the option to have me in their respective language now! Was pretty easy and my language changes as soon as you set another language in the Android options. Have a try!
